Disarmed $20 Exploding Dye Pack 3SI Security Systems, Inc. PCGS Banknote Encapsulated Genuine. The third party label states this pack has an unknown manufacturer, however the beige label at center is also seen on exploding dye packs manufactured by the 3SI Security Systems, Inc. 3SI would hollow out a pack of money and place inside it said exploding dye pack, which would then be hidden in bricks or stacks of money that robbers would not be able to see. Invented in 1969 in Georgia, dye packs are still used to foil bank robberies to this day. We last offered a PCGS Banknote encapsulated dye pack in June, which brought nearly $3,000.
