Second, and final, Classic Head Quarter Eagle issue from the famed Charlotte Mint. From a mintage of 18,140 with only nine uncirculated examples reported by PCGS, making this AU slider likely the finest available at any given moment. Patinaed honey surfaces with only superficial chatter and mild friction across the high points of the devices. Somewhat weakly struck, typical for most coins struck at the storied North Carolina Mint, though obverse device outlines remain bold. An ideal piece for the Southern Gold collector!
