1798/7 $10 Gold Eagle, Stars 9×4, NGC MS61. An important early American gold rarity, seldom offered in Mint State, displaying warm yellow-gold coloration, substantial detail in Liberty’s hair and cap, and a well-defined heraldic eagle reverse. Held in a private collection since the early 2000s, this coin makes its first market appearance in more than twenty years. The coin has not been resubmitted for grading or submitted to CAC since entering the collection in the early 2000s. Mint State offerings are exceptionally infrequent, making this a significant opportunity for the early gold collector.
