Continental Currency May 10, 1775 $1 PMG Very Fine 30. Surprisingly, the $1 is one of the scarcest of all of the denominations of Continental currency. This $1 was part of the original issue emitted by the Continental Congress placed in circulation in August 1775 and was intended to pay the initial expenses of the American Revolution. This offering has solid paper for the grade with some soiling on its back. HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
