South and North Civil War Era Patriotic Covers Not Graded. Georgia - "Rebel Arms of Georgia;" Louisiana - "Secession;" South Carolina - "Rebels;" Tennessee - "The Coat of Arms of Tennessee;" Indiana - "Indiana, For the Union;" (Massachusetts) - "Bunker Hill;" (Original 13 Colonies.) These patriotic covers are postally unused. Six covers have retained their flap. The flap of the Louisiana cover has been torn off. The Tennessee example was previously mounted. The covers of Louisiana, Indiana, Massachusetts, and the Original 13 Colonies have the imprint of Philadelphia printer and counterfeiter of Confederate and Southern States notes, Samuel Upham.
