Check engraved by BEP; Burlington, VT- Merchants National Bank-United States Depository $165; $250 United States Paymaster Checks 1905 Extremely Fine Hammer canceled; portrait of Edwin Stanton. Checks engraved by BEP; Woodstock, VT- Woodstock National Bank $31.12 Bank Draft August(?) 10, 1871 Very Fine Hammer canceled; large imprinted revenue stamp and two vignettes, one of an allegorical woman (perhaps Commerce) and a second of a Native American family (as used on T22 CSA $10 treasury notes printed by Southern Bank Note Co., in fact, the New Orleans branch of ABNCo).
