1800 1/2 C C-1, B-1, R.1, MS63 Red PCGS. Manley Die State 4.0, the usual state with weak border dentils on both sides. The hair curl left of the 1 is weak and advanced die rust joins the E of UNITED to the left wreath branch. Due to a couple New England hoards, the 1800 half cent is collectible in Mint State, but most such pieces are brown. Full Red examples are rare and desirable. This extraordinary 1800 half cent, aside from splashes of steel toning at the upper obverse, exhibits brilliant orange mint luster with exceptional eye appeal.
