1800 H10C V-1, LM-1, R.3, MS61 PCGS. The 1800 mintage of Draped Bust, Heraldic Eagle half dimes was largest of the five-year design with 40,000 coins. The issue is divided between the LIBERTY and LIBEKTY subvarieties with a mintage of 24,000 and 16,000 coins, respectively. The LM-1 is among the most common die marriages for the year, alongside the LM-3, and is an important piece for type collectors. Deep gray luster envelops this lower Mint State specimen accompanied by topaz and turquoise toning within the fields. The strike is largely pleasing with some weakness along the stars, as expected for the issue. Small marks are present but are ineffective towards the appeal, while a small hairline appears below the tip of the eagle’s left (facing) wing. From The Fairfax Type Set of U.S. Coins.
