1838-O 10C No Stars, F-101a, R.5, MS64 PCGS. Dramatic ocean-blue, magenta, gold, and burnt-orange toning cover lustrous surfaces. The 1838-O is the first New Orleans dime issue, and the only No Stars branch issue. Fortin lists the F-101 among his Top 100 varieties due to the prominently repunched mintmark. However, F-101a, which has obverse rim cuds at 2 and 4 o'clock but retains the repunching, is absent, despite being rarer. PCGS Population (all varieties): 17 in 64 (4 in 64+), 5 finer (5/26).
