1795 H10C V-4, LM-10, R.3, MS63 CACG. Softly lustrous golden-tinged surfaces cover a stone-gray patina. Portions of the borders exhibit dentilation, but the left border on each side is weak due to heavy planchet adjustment marks (mint made) in the left reverse margin. No distracting abrasions are evident. The familiar rim cud appears atop the TY in LIBERTY and the adjacent star, identifying this coin immediately as a late die state of the LM-10 die pair. This marriage is common in the absolute sense, but Mint State Flowing Hair half dimes are still elusive. We have handled some of the Uncirculated survivors multiple times, making the number of individual coins in Uncirculated grades smaller than the auction appearance rate. From The Fairfax Type Set of U.S. Coins. HID06601242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
