1836 P$1 Name on Base, Judd-60 Original, Pollock-65, R.1 -- Graffiti -- PCGS Genuine. Proof, VG Details. Silver. Plain Edge. No Stars Obverse, Stars Reverse. Die Alignment I (coin turn, center of Liberty's head opposite DO in DOLLAR). Die State indeterminant. Significant wear characterizes each side, but rather than the oft-seen cleaned appearance, this coin is deeply patinated with mottled russet, golden-olive, and gray toning. The surfaces are pebbled with marks and abrasions, thought it is a cluster of scratches in the obverse field near 2 o'clock that prevents a numeric grade.
