1873 T$1 MS65 PCGS. The Trade dollar was introduced in 1873 in order to help facilitate international trade with China, and 396,900 of the inaugural issue were produced by the Philadelphia Mint. Pewter-gray luster envelops this piece with some deeper onyx tones around the legends. The coin is decently struck with some weakness around Liberty’s hair and is free from any marks that might obscure the appeal. PCGS Population: 14 in 65 (1 in 65+), 6 finer (7/26).
