2000-P $1 "Cheerios," FS-902, MS67 PCGS. The "Cheerios" variety was created in part by a partnership between General Mills and the Mint, in which coins of the inaugural Sacagawea issue were placed in the aptly named cereal boxes. In 2005 it was discovered by numismatist Tom DeLorey that the "Cheerios" variety had ribbed tail feathers, and as such has become immensely popular with collectors. Attractive uniform brass-gold luster with some speckles of patina within the fields. While there are some miniscule hairlines, they are non-intrusive, and the issue is seldom seen finer at this Superb Gem grade.
