(1837-42) $2 1/2 C. Bechtler Quarter Eagle, 64G. 22C. -- Improperly Cleaned -- NGC Details. AU.K-11, High R.5. This example appears to be the late die state as attributable via the three radial cracks of the reverse, though the westward cracks appear weak due to the cleaning and possible smoothing. The coin displays lighter yellow-gold and has a few minor marks within the fields. We rarely have the opportunity to offer the Uneven 22, as this will be only the second example we have offered in five years. Listed on page 388-389 of the 2026 Guide Book.
