Continental Currency May 9, 1776 $6 PMG Very Fine 25. The $6 denomination included in this emission continued the designs of earlier $6s with an emblem of a beaver gnawing down a tree with the motto PERSEVERANDO (By perseverance) on the face and a nature print of a buttercup on the back. The note has been in circulation and has somewhat soft margins and corners, but all design elements remain clear and the signatures of William Masters and Joseph Redman are quite clear and dark.
