Continental Currency July 22, 1776 $6 PMG Choice Very Fine 35. The $6 denomination was the fourth highest emitted under the July 22, 1776, issuance which, along with the August 13, 1776, Resolution, authorized $5,000,000 in Continental Currency to be distributed for use by the Colonies. This note features an emblem on the face at left of a beaver gnawing down a tree with PERSEVERANDO (By perseverance) surrounding it. The back contains a nature print of a buttercup.
