Georgia 1776 - Large Size. Denomination on each end of face 2s6d PMG Choice Fine 15. The Georgia Provincial Congress authorized £12,572 19s in Certificates intended to replace previous outstanding issues. This 2s6d note depicts a horse at lower right and is the so-called "large" format version with the denomination appearing on both the left and right ends of the note. While the note has clearly seen time in commerce, with edge tattering, particularly along the bottom and right margins, all design details are clear, with two signatures, those of Peter Bard and Nehemiah Wade, still dark and legible.
