Massachusetts 1779 5s 6d PMG Very Fine 25. The 5 Shillings 6 Pence denomination was the largest issued as part of this 1779 emission. Paul Revere engraved the face plate and printed the faces as well, while Thomas Fleet printed the backs. The face depicts a rising sun while the back portrays a pine tree. The note is well printed with decent margins and the clear signature of Jonathan Brown. PMG mentions a minor repair which offers little, if any, distraction.
