John Hart-Signed New Jersey February 20, 1776 £3 PMG Very Fine 30. Part of the £30,000 emission of Proclamation Money authorized by the Ordinance of October 28, 1775, this note's £3 denomination was the largest issued. Just 9,500 £3 notes were allocated for issue. The face features the royal coat of arms while the back depicts foliage. The note retains clear design elements and has decent margins. Importantly, the note is signed by John Hart, Delegate to the second Continental Congress and signer of the Declaration of Independence. Hart's signature is a bit faded, but is still quite legible and clear. This note was previously mounted and has small tears. HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
