New Jersey March 25, 1776 12s PCGS Very Fine 30. John Hart, a signer of the Declaration of Independence, also signed this 12 Shillings New Jersey Colonial. The nearest grade examples among our most recent offerings of John Hart signed 12 Shillings notes were a PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45 example that realized $1,560 in September 2025 and a PMG Very Fine 25 example that realized $720 in 2023. We expect this example, which is arguably more attractive than the Choice Extremely Fine example due to its broad margins and brighter paper, to land somewhere in between the two when the hammer falls this evening.
