North Carolina April 4, 1748 20s PMG Choice Fine 15 Net. Part of an emission of £21,350 in indented Bills of Credit, 2,000 20 Shillings notes were allocated for issue. The emission was used to redeem old notes, fund fortifications, and service public debts. This design features a rather well-done unicorn vignette at lower left. The note has been severed and reattached, repaired, and has pinholes.
