North Carolina April 4, 1748 40s PMG Choice Fine 15 Net. Early on, this note was backed in an effort to keep it in circulation. This is borne out by the fact that a large number of period endorsements have been made on the backing material. The note is well printed with clear sharp design details including an emblem depicting a drum with flags and cannons on the face. Of the 19 examples presently recorded in the PMG Population Report, this note is currently tied with two other examples for the "top pop" position for this Friedberg number.
