Rhode Island July 2, 1780 $4 Remainder PMG Choice Uncirculated 64 EPQ. The $4 had an issue allocation of up to 2,600 notes for this emission of $130,000 authorized by the Act of July 24, 1780, (the date is incorrectly shown as July 2, 1780, on the notes). The design uses the same emblem as the corresponding $4 Continental Currency denomination: a wild boar charging a spear with the motto AUT MORS AUT VITA DECORA (Either death or an honorable life). This example is a remainder with no federal guarantee signature on the back. HID08101242017 www.HA.com/TexasAuctioneerLicenseNotice
