Rhode Island May 1786 6s PMG Very Fine 30. A total of 16,000 6 Shilling notes were authorized for issue as part of this £100,000 emission authorized in 1786. The issue ultimately depreciated to about 10% of its original value and over 96% of the amount issued was burned between 1793 and 1803. All design elements are clear and sharp including the signatures of Elijah Cobb and Samuel Adams. The note has decent margins. PMG mentions pinholes.
