South Carolina December 23, 1777 (erroneously dated) $2 PCGS Banknote Choice Unc 63. The date on early printings of the $2 was erroneously printed as December 23, 1777, rather than 1776. After this error was discovered, notes, such as this one, were corrected in brown ink before being placed in circulation. The design elements are darkly inked and the signatures of John Dart and James Wakefield are bold and clear.
