Virginia May 4, 1778 (Dates Printed) $7 PMG Very Fine 25. Preliminary Proofs for this issue were engraved by Robert Scot. He was a Scottish-American engraver who served as first Chief Engraver of the United States Mint from 1793 until his death in 1823. This example has two bold signatures.
