A better date in the scarce and desirable early half dime series with the draped bust obverse and heraldic (large) eagle reverse. Rare this fine, this charming AU saw wonderful preservation, bested by only seven finer PCGS examples of all varieties. Well-struck overall, grade-defining wear is limited to Liberty's cheek and shoulder. A patina of blended deep gold, steely blue, and subtle rose toning coats both sides.
