On January 7, 2009, Yahoo! Sports reported that Bernice Gallego of Fresno, CA, had made a once-in-a-lifetime find: an 1869 card featuring the "Red Stocking B.B. Club of Cincinnati," the first professional baseball team. The card, one of the very first baseball cards ever produced, has been authenticated by PSA and is headed for the auction block.
