R.A. Siegel is celebrating its 1000th sale with a major offering of high-grade PSE stamps.
Scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, December 8, 2010 at their offices at 60 East 56th Street in New York City, the sale will cover a broad spectrum of U.S. regular issue and commemorative stamps, back-of-the-book issues and a nice selection of covers.
The Peter Dupuy collection of 1857-1860 issues offers some outstanding examples of our nation's earliest perforated issues.
However, the real strength of the sale is the commemorative issues of the late 19th century, including what are probably the finest collections of the Columbians and the Trans-Mississippi issues ever assembled.
